HAND-DRAWING

From the design of the millennium show at The Dome in the late 90's to the Teratological Drawing in 2021, hand-drawing has been an efficient creative tool that has allowed Keith to express his experiences and vision to others.

A primary skill

Through the play of positive and negative spaces, Khan’s Teratological Drawing is a synthesis of digital and manual artistic work where the hand of the artist references techniques such as repetition and mirroring commonly used in the digital world. Delving into Khan’s ancestral lineage, the polyptych alludes to traditional Indian folk art, such as the Pahari art, as well as the tribal drawings of the Taino Indigenous people from Trinidad.
